Take time to address the conflict. Get the nurses together and express your concerns. Listen to their issues and facilitate their listening to each other. Identify the problem, their interests, and their needs. Assist them in brainstorming possible solutions. Praise their successes in communicating with each other, even if they cannot reach an agreement. Check in periodically to reevaluate the situation. Continue to meet with the nurses if the tension between them continues.
